Andrea Page (Hunkpapa Lakota) was a children’s author, educator, and speaker. She wrote three published children’s books titled, Sioux Code Talkers of World War II (2017, Pelican/Arcadia Publishing), Who Was Wilma Mankiller? (2025, Penguin Workshop) and her debut picture book titled Gabriel's Winter Count (2026, Charlesbridge).

Andrea wrote educator guides, compiled Native book lists, and enjoyed her role as an instructor at the Highlights Foundation.

As a longtime member of SCBWI and RACWI, and a member of the Children’s Literature Assembly (CLA) of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), Andrea loved connecting with other authors and young readers.

Andrea will be represented by her daughters, Alana and Alexa, at the book festival
