Ronny Frishman grew up in the New York City area and spent several years teaching English in West Africa. She later moved to upstate New York and worked as a journalist writing and editing for newspapers and magazines. Now she's having a blast writing books for children; she's especially drawn to stories about little-known heroes. Her middle-grade nonfiction book, Nina Allender, Suffrage Cartoonist, With a Drawing Pencil She Helped Win the Vote for Women, was published in 2020. Her picture book, Eva Saves the Stones, is forthcoming.
