Saadia Faruqi has written more than 50 children's books, including the “Yasmin” and "Marya Khan" series, as well as the "Must Love Pets" series. She is the author of the Eisner-nominated graphic novel Saving Sunshine, and middle grade novels The Strongest Heart, The Partition Project and Yusuf Azeem Is Not A Hero. She is editor-in-chief of Blue Minaret, and was featured in Oprah Magazine as a woman making a difference in her community. She lives in Houston, Texas with her family.
